P05 → Die völkischen Siedler und der Girsch
In a large-scale project, design and fine arts students of the HFK Bremen looked in-depth at the history of the university's predecessor institution under National Socialism. The goal was a printed publication to show the many findings and artistic explorations. In 2024, the publication “Das fehlende Segment” was exhibited at the “Haus der Bürgschaft”.
For my own creative exploration of the topic, I placed the ideologies of the time alongside the current ideologies of the ‘Völkische Siedler’ (Ethnic Settlers). My own photography of common weeds in Germany was used to highlight the hidden nationalistic agenda of the “Völkischen Siedler.”
